Berni Campbell is a Neuro Developmental Therapist who is now practicing from the Healthcare Clinic. Berni, originally from Ballyshannon, has been living in Strabane for about five years now. She is married to James, and they have a young son Killian, aged two. Berni’s interest in Brain Development in children and adults started whilst still at school, she furthered her interest and went onto gain the following qualifications/experiences:

BTEC Higher National Diploma in Early Childhood Studies in NWIFHE
Batchelor of Arts Honours in Early Childhood Studies Uni of East Anglia

Neuro Developmental Therapy (NDT) is a non-invasive, complementary therapy, which aims to improve the social, emotional and academic well-being of a child. NDT is a programme of movement designed to weaken the primitive reflexes in a child, therefore allowing further development of postural reactions and further development of the brain. Difficulties with:- Reading - Handwriting - Maths - Hand and eye co-ordination - Memory - Concentration - Bedwetting – past the age of 5 yrs old (This list is not exhaustive) Studies of children following a programme of Neuro Developmental Therapy, have shown significant improvements in their balance and co-ordination, their academic ability, bedwetting and in their emotional and social well-being.
