HYPNOTHERAPY

George Doonan

George Doonan lives outside Omagh, and has been interested in Hypnosis for most of his life.  His chief influence in his earlier life within this sphere, was the great Edmund Heath who more or less reintroduced Hypnosis in both Stage and Therapy settings to the Northern Ireland public, and, to an extent. Elsewhere.
Before this, the use of, and interest in Hypnosis had fallen to very low levels.

Since then, it has grown substantially in public awareness, with many people taking advantage of its many benefits.  George is a Member of the National Society of Professional Hypnotherapists, by training and examination; and is a Licentiate Member of the National Council of Psychotherapists.  As a Clinical Hypnotherapist, George has many years experience of dealing with a wide range of emotional problems as well as some physical ones.  He is keen to emphasise that it is not the actual Hypnosis which is of paramount importance, but rather, the positive and healing work that is undertaken when the individual is in a relaxed state…

George also places great emphasis on the fact that a Client never looses control during a session, and also that all treatments are carried out sympathetically and in total confidence.  He finds that Direct Suggestion, when a Client is in a relaxed state, is extremely rewarding and beneficial, and each Client receives a audio tape recording of the actual session to listen to between sessions.  This builds up the ability of the subconscious mind to more strongly and effectively accept new positive concepts.  George feels that this is particularly useful where problems have been persistent and/or of long duration.
